This year's European Police Congress on 16/17 April 2024 in Berlin, at which the DPolG was again widely represented, offered a main programme, more than 30 specialist forums and a broad supporting programme on topics of internal security.
Women in leadership positions in the police, evaluation of the cannabis law, violence against public sector employees, migration and integration, the impact of artificial intelligence on police work or ensuring safe matches at the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany are just a few examples of the diversity of topics covered at the congress.
At the initiative of the DPolG Board Management, numerous colleagues from member unions of the European Police Union (EPU) also took part in the year of the European elections. The DPolG Federal Chairman and EPU President Rainer Wendt emphasized the importance of cross-border police cooperation in the fight against organized crime.
