Police Work during European Championships
EPU President Rainer Wendt spoke to Krzystof Zimoch from the Polish radio station Radio 357 about police work during the European Championships and the threat situation.
“The police are well prepared, the emergency services are doing everything they can to ensure that the many international guests in Germany feel comfortable and can enjoy football and celebrate together in a great atmosphere. It can already be said that the police from the other participating countries work very well with the German police.
As President of the European Police Union (EPU), I can also confirm this for the trade unions in Europe. We have enjoyed years of cooperation and friendship, especially with the Polish police union NSZZP and its president Rafal Jankowski, vice-president of the EPU!”
