Petition to the European Parliament

Classify assaults on police & military as Eurocrime and declare them high-risk professions

Public servants of security and defense safeguard the rights and freedoms we European citizens enjoy. Police officers, prison guards, customs and border agents, and the military, put their lives on the line every day to protect ours.

The rise in crime and violent conflict has exponentially increased the number of attacks they suffer and the violence of those assaults. Thousands of police officers in the European Union suffer violent attacks every month because the law does not adequately protect them. Too often criminals go unpunished.

It is time to change this situation, before police officers can no longer protect us. It is submitted - on behalf of the Spanish Police Confederation and the European Police Union- a petition (No. 1407/202) to the European Parliament for police and military officers to be considered as a risk profession, and for assaults against them to be classified as Eurocrime, guaranteeing minimum penalties for violent criminals.

If you want to keep yourself and those who protect us safe, sign this initiative to support our petition!
